I decided to take a break from my Stitch Fix styling so I could pop over here and say "'ello!" <---said in a British accent, obvi.
You see that picture up there? That is moi. Playing tennis. And when I say "playing," I mean running around the court like a chicken with its head cut off. I guess that ONE lesson I took back in 1999 didn't do a damn thing for my tennis skills. But, hey, that's okay. The view was gorg and the company was grand. Even the two men playing next to us were quite gracious and didn't seem to mind our balls flying into their court every 45 seconds.
Anyway, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining or anything, but I think I need to make some minor adjustments in my life regarding my work schedule. I know I just wrote a post about routine and how I love it so, which, yes, in a sense I do, but this whole working 7 days in a row thing has got to go. I love working at the boutique and I love styling, but I don't love having zero days to do absolutely nothing or absolutely anything if I so chose to do so, you know? The Dizzle and I were discussing our work situations earlier today. He works 6 days a week, himself, and I think it's catching up to him, too.
The more I type this out, the more I keep thinking about how I JUST wrote yesterday how we have great schedules, and here I am posting a picture of me playing TENNIS on a TUESDAY, and again, I really am so thankful for my current work situation, don't get me wrong.
Buuuutttttt.... I just need a day. Give me one day where The Dizz AND I have off TOGETHER. Just us. Him and me. To do as we please. That "only eat cereal and watch movies in bed all day long" thing we keep talking about needs to happen asap. So I think we may try to pick a day that works for us. Perhaps Fridays. No styling. No personal training. Just us. Please and thank you. (Have I mentioned I can be quite selfish with our alone time? No? Well now you know.)
I must now get back to one more hour of styling, then it's Green Chicken Curry making for dinner.
Here's to hoping these Sour Patch Kids sitting here to my right will help sustain me without spoiling my appetite.
Mishi: Over and out.
