Artsy Fartsy.

One of the things I love most about our little situation we got going on here in San Francisco is our ability to fit in little "Day Dates" on random mid-week days. Verner usually has clients in the mornings and evenings, which leaves a good chunk in the middle of the day to focus on whatever he pleases....or, to be dragged to The de Young Museum by yours truly.

One of the things we've had on our San Francisco Bucket List was to visit a local museum, so last week, when the sun finally came out, we decided to do just that!

I threw on my super snazzy, artsy fartsy museum outfit and off we went. All I was missing was a big floppy hat. Or, ya know, something equally artsy.

^^^Hey look! The street we live on is apparently named after someone very important (to whom we still do not know anything about, but I would say having your own statue dedication would imply you were quite the popular one, Mr. Cervantes.). ^^^

Walking around The de Young reminded us of our travel times and all of the amazing museums we saw. It was nice to feel that sense of exploration again (even though I can't relay a single piece of information we learned. How non-artsy of me, I know.).

^^^ That is one cool cat up there. ^^^

And there you have it. A post about a museum, with almost zero actual museum pictures. I do recommend going though, if you're in the area. Tickets are only $10 and they really do have a lot of beautiful things to see.

It seems our San Francisco Bucket List keeps growing as we continue to learn about new things to do in this city. And though we do want to move back to San Diego at some point, we have both agreed that we will not do it until we feel like we've truly experienced what this city has to offer!

Anyhoo. Tiddly doo. The Dizzle just walked in the door, so I'm off!

Peace and chicken grease. <--- ?

xoxo

  4. I agree! Stay in SF as long as possible, but leave a few things to do so you can go back after moving to SD and have a reason to visit :)

  7. Super fun! And I know someone else already said it but as a former Spanish teacher I need to elaborate ... he was a novelist and he wrote Don Quixote which is considered the first Western novel. Don Quixote is basically about this skinny guy who reads so many stories about chivalry that he thinks he's a knight, so he takes the name Don Quixote and recruits Sancho Panza - his fat little companion - and they go around trying to find adventures ... but then he ends up just fighting windmills . :)
