  9. My number 1 financial tip? When getting married/cohabitating- do the joint account thing, BUT HAVE YOUR OWN AS WELL!! Set spending rules and don't assume your partner is being as fastidious about curbing spending as you are. Because it's a lot more fun to spend someone else's hard earned money over your own.. Also, should you ever get divorced, consult a GOOD lawyer, don't let emotions come into play and make some smart financial decisions so once its done and over with, you are not left in the hole..

I would love to win the Ipad since I lost mine in my divorce.. Along with all the other fun electronics- but hey jack, guess who got to keep her pension, RRSP's, and all of her money (See? Not in the hole! Unless of course, we talk about all the new electronics I had to buy after the fact...)In the end, I'd say it was worth it in the end;-)

  11. This would be so amazing!! I can think of tons of ways the cash would help, but the iPad would be fantastic for my job. I do marketing and social media for a dimensional design company and having an iPad to take on the go with me to review projects with clients would be fantastic.

  19. A financial tip..if you're able to pay off your car then if you continue to make payments 'to yourself' you can put that money towards your next inevitable car purchase or at the very least have a nice down payment for your next car.

  24. Wow. I don't think I've ever done so much for a contest ROFL. Umm my #1 tip, find a way to store money that is inconvenient for you to use so you think twice before spending (example, my friend hates using cards so she puts her paychecks immediately into the bank & only ends up buying things when she utterly has to besides the money on her). If I won, I'd get some much needed new clothes & a few books for class. Top blogging tip (um I'm a miserably bad blogger so I probably have miserable advice, but people tell me this all the time) comment from the heart & a lot:)
