I know it's touristy, but I still love it.

If you've been to San Francisco, I'm sure you've probably been to Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 area. You know, the place that's uber touristy, uber expensive, has the street performers and bums a plenty, a good view of Alcatraz, as well as some great seal watching. Oh, and it also has the one and only In N Out in the city, so that's of course a plus. Every time I've come to San Francisco in the past, I've always made it a point to spend some time at Fisherman's Wharf. I don't know why, but I just love it so much. Something about the vibe that I always feel like I'm on vacation, along with the rest of the tourists.

Anyway, I also wanted to say thank you for yesterday's supportive comments. It's days like that where I remember why I love blogging so much-- You know, basically getting validation for whatever extreme emotion you're feeling. ;)

Hope your Thursday is going well. The Dizzle and I just got back from Target and managed to spend LESS than $100!! ($88 to be exact) It's a grand day already.

Also, The Hangover 3 is officially in theaters, now, so I think we might just have to go and see that as well. I love me some Zach Galifianakis.

But first, I think we're going to try and find a new neighborhood to explore today and see if it meshes well with us. We're also toying with the idea of subletting a place for the summer before we jump head on into a year lease somewhere. With us not having secure jobs yet, it might make more sense to go that route...

So now that you're all up to date on MY day and thoughts, I'm sure you feel quite fulfilled. Kiiiiiiiding.

Okay! I'm signing off!

Happy Thursday, friends!

xoxo

  2. I've lived in Southern Cali my entire life, and I've only been to SF once. When I was around 2 years old, and I don't remember it that well. I think a trip up north is due soon! :D

  8. I've never left the east coast :( Boo. Fisherman's Wharf is in my top 10 though. It just looks so awesome. Expenses be damned! Subletting seems like a good idea actually. Good luck!

  10. The mini donuts at Fisherman's Wharf are my favorite!! I'm going to visit friends in San Jose next month and now I'm going to need to make a side trip there I think! Good luck on the apartment hunt! I think subletting is a great idea!! Just in case you decide to go back out in the big, fun world sometime sooner than in 12 months! ;)

  11. I just moved to SF, and when my parents came to visit, we of course had to go here! SInce I'm still new, I don't mind being touristy, but either way, it is sometimes still fun to play tourist in your own town - it gives you a chance to see it with new eyes. And well done on the target run - I've NEVER made it out under $100- ever!
