Sydney and Natalie tagged ME for Five Things.

Totally kidding. They did not. Because they do not know I exist.
And if you don't know who "they" are, it's because you're probably not a blogger.
But don't worry, that's not the point.

The point is, I saw their "5 Things" posts (here and here) and decided to play along.
Because, well, why not?

So let's do this thing!

Here are 5 random-thesewontenhanceyourlifeatall-things about me:

1 // From Kindergarten to Senior year, I attended a small, private (and very christian) school with about an average of 12-20 students in my entire class at all times. Half of the people in my class I've known since I was 5 years old until my high school graduation. And several of them I'm still friends with today. I'm grateful for that experience in my life. With that said. I never dated any of the boys at my school because ew, they were like my brothers. I can't express enough to you how eager I was to get. the. eff. out of that town by the time I graduated, though, now, I sort of miss that town. I'm still slightly bitter about the fact that we never had proms or formals or whatever else you cool public school kids had. No dancing was allowed at this school. Why? Because dancing was of the devil's work, of course!

2 // I'm a big "make up my own jingles" kind of person. As in: (insert any tune) "We're walkin' down the street in Vietnam, look at that man, his name is Tom! I'm so thirsty, let's get some dranks. Hey, hey, hey, okay, hey thanks!" ...I never said I was GOOD at the jingles. I just do them. All the time. Every day. More so when I'm really happy/excited/upbeat/etc. Sometimes though, I'll get lucky and produce a real catchy jingle that even The Dizzle can't resist repeating later.

3 // Don't talk to me about politics if you want me to actively participate in that conversation. Not because I have strong political views and I'll immediately start debating in that obnoxious way "those" people do (you know what I'm talking about). But because I really don't know much about politics. Really. I'm a pretty smart cookie (I think), but I've never followed politics or been interested enough to try. I literally just looked up from my computer screen right now and asked Verner, "Is our Vice President Joe Biden?" I was a tad surprised that I was right. I know, I know. You're probably shaking your head at me right now. But, I don't think it's stupidity...I think it's more of i-dont-care-enough-to-try-and-follow-these-shenanigans-when-i-can-learn-the-important-topics-from-current-SNL-skits.
(Aaannnddd cue the anonymous 'you're ignorant' comments.)

4 // I'm a big believer in positive thinking. I believe negativity gets you nowhere. I believe we can set our minds to something and make it happen. I believe in taking charge of your life and not playing the victim role. I believe that if you want change, then you can change it. Stop making excuses. No one is holding you back but yourself. I believe in keeping it simple: What do you want? Figure out a way. Do it.

5 // I was a bit of a late bloomer. I didn't have my first serious boyfriend until I was 17 (and looking back, it wasn't that serious at all). I didn't have my first alcoholic beverage until I was 18. I didn't even get boobs until I was 20! (cough)itspossibleipaidforthem(cough).

And there you have it.
Useless and random information for your Friday.
You are welcome.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh, and it's March...what??

xoxo

Oh and don't even get me started on the 'clique' that those two belong to.. I just wish I didn't think Huck was so cute!!

  2. Aha! You lied.

This totally DID enhance my life because I had no idea who our vice president was, so boo-yah!

And I make up my own jingles all the time which usually ends up into a song & dance number if I'm feeling really happy. Or drunk. My kids do it now too. Not the drunk part. I think.

    ♥ Duckie.

  3. I love random facts about people! I'd rather know little tid bits about people instead of the basic facts... I don't care how normal you are, I want to know the random crap! So this made my day :) and oh I'm so amazed by people who went to small schools.....my graduating senior class was about 700 people!

  5. Twinsies! I'm no big on politics either. It's kinda boring. I might catch snippets of things on tv or reading, but it all sounds like the adults on Peanuts talking.

SDA schools are interestingly weird. Haha gotta love them
I'm a late bloomer when it comes to alcohol. I think my first beverage was at 20! Hahaha...

  10. I love random facts posts - and I went to a super small, Christian all-girls school so I can totally relate! Ugh politics, I live in DC so I feel like I'm supposed to care, but I don't :)

  13. I feel the same way about politics! I just don't find them enjoyable, they are more frustrating than anything. Plus people just get too crazy when they are talking about them.

  18. I also went to a teeny tiny Christian school from kindergarten through high school graduation (there were 44 kids in my graduating class). I only dated one boy from that school - he was a grade ahead and didn't go to school there until high school, so I didn't get the "brother" vibe that I got with most of the boys.

Love your blog - I'm your newest follower :)

  19. Ahahahah I've been wondering how someone so teeny tiny had such a great rack! Love this post. And I won't talk to you about politics when you move to SF.

  21. Wait. I'm confused! I didn't know he was our VP either! Wasn't it Hilary?! Hahah. I love that last cough cough comment. ba. I love that you just did the 5 things anyway. One of my fav bloggers that has a gazillionandfive followers also did the 5 and I thought, that looks like fun, I want to be tagged! But heck. I'll just do what you did. And I'll probably say you tagged me. We could probably start a whole new thing here. A 5 things, not really tagged by anyone, tag.
