View from the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower |
Freezing? Yes. Romantic? Even more so.
I never thought this would be a place that we'd get to see together, but by golly, we did it!
Yesterday we walked 6 miles around the city, plus over 600 steps to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower. We would have gone to the top, but a certain someone (cough)verner(cough) seems to be a tad afraid of heights. Even after a year and a half of knowing someone, you still learn something new every day, huh? That's okay though, the 2nd floor still had an amazing view of the city and I was more than okay with going back down to get some hot chocolate and a Nutella crepe. Mmm...
We're off to have a fancy-ish French dinner tonight as a little "goodbye" to the city, then it's back to Spain tomorrow. We've barely spent any money all day so we could "splurge" tonight. Yay.
Also, in case you wanted to see more Barcelona pictures, I put them up here.
Have a wonderful weekend! Au revoir! ;)
xoxo
Ohh God...I love to go to Paris. Was it all so beautiful as they say?♥
ReplyDeleteWow, those pictures make me want to go back in the spring :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe a side trip from Amsterdam???
This is so exciting! Please let us know how you did it or how to plan for doing what you are doing!
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn, check out our travel blog: www.fillinginthedots.com! Hopefully that can give you a little more info on how we planned for this! :) :)
DeleteI want to go back to Paris so bad I could cry.
ReplyDeletelalalalallalalaaaaaaa! Why didn't I get packed in your suitcase?:-) The Bean and I are very small, we totally could've made it work! xoxo
ReplyDeleteNomnomnom... Authentic crepes in Paris and hot chocolate (I think I'm more jealous about your food experience than your trip to Eiffel lol). Hope you have fun with your fancy dinner!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing at the top of the Eiffel Tower is more cold and more wind!!! (those steps are a killer though, right?!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!!
I Love it! you guys are too adorable.
ReplyDeleteHow romantic, that first photo! And great angle of the Eiffel Tower!
ReplyDeleteMy best friend and I could only go to the second level too. There was no way on earth I was making it to the top. Also, we had lunch at the cafe on the second level. I got a "hot dog" and I think it was $20. It was basically a white penis looking sausage on a french bread loaf with so much ketchup the bread was soggy. Worst meal ever. Don't order a hot dog while you're there.
ReplyDeleteAhh my favorite place in the world!!! So glad you guys had an amazing time! :)
ReplyDeleteI would have recommend a boat ride down the Seine River...gorgeous views of the city!! have fun in both places
ReplyDeleteAMAZE BALLS!!!! How romantical your pictures are... so glad to hear you guys can splurge on a nice din din tonight... you deserve it especially while in Paris!
ReplyDeleteHave a ball dahhhhling!
