My Top 7 in Venice that really has nothing to do with Venice at all.

1. Watching The Dizzle help the old lady carry her wheely bag up and over the bridge after seeing her standing there, helplessly staring from the bottom of the bridge. #myhero

2. Asian tourists! I missed those gems while in Spain. This particular group spoke to me because I really appreciated the tour guide's giant fake sunflower she held high for her fellow Asians to see... I refrained from hopping in and joining the group myself.

3. Words can't really explain this one fully. But, clearly, this is our impression of falling from a cliff. Duh.

4. The wonderful window displays. Exhibit A, on the left, clearly showcases a pair of men's boxers with a plastic Christmas tree on its ding-dong site, which yes, I'm pretty sure lights up. Exhibit B, on the right, well, this is another one I don't have many words to describe. Pubes? Check. STD warning? Check. Naked baby? Check.

5. The Venetians seem to be very proud of their really tiny, mini...eh, you get it.

6. We joined the old folks again, because that just seems to be what we like to do these days, and we bought tickets to see a performance of Vivaldi's music. Wow. These guys were amazing. Amazing! It's moments like this that are unexpected with our travels, but I'll remember forever.
And just in case I don't remember, I can always watch this GIF and feel like I'm there again.

7. Being in Saint Marks Square and seeing all the pigeons flock to The Dizzle. There were guys out there selling handfuls of rice for 1 Euro. Uhh...I don't need a bunch of disease-ridden birds on me, thanks.

Venice will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks for keeping us entertained. I really hope we get to go back again someday {preferably when it's warmer}.

  3. Lol love this! I went to Venice in August and it was TOO HOT and too many tourists! Not my idea of a good time so I'd also like to go back at some point and get a feel for it when it's not overrun. Maybe springtime!

  5. When I began reading this sentence from #2, "This particular group spoke to me because...", I automatically finished it in my mind with "they figured I'd understand them." Why is it always about being Asian inside my head?

Speaking of, you probably can play the violin like that guy, right?

  7. Ahh, those photos are all great! The mannequins in other countries can get really interesting! The ones we came across in Bolivia and Peru all looked really scary or they were making funny faces. There really wasn't any normal looking ones there at all! So strange!
