I'm sitting at the airport right now, waiting to board for San Francisco.
I'm trying really hard not to let these tears spill over because I have a feeling it might alarm the man sitting directly in front of me.
Good Lord, is it hard to say goodbye, or what?
When I hugged Fasha earlier, I was able to keep the tears in, surprisingly.
But hugging my brother goodbye, that's when I lost it.
But despite these sad feelings of having to say goodbye for who knows how long, I am filled with so much happiness that I got to stay a few more days and see my new baby niece.
Her cheeks! They're so dang fat and she looks like a little Asian pumpkin I can barely contain myself!
I took about a billion pictures, so I'll spare you from seeing them all.
But here are a few of my favorites.
....oh, and if you're wondering why my hair looks like that of a pilgrim, it is because I was curling my hair. Now that I've "simplified" my life, aka sold basically everything I own, I have to be creative when it comes to doing my hair. {When I get some time, I'll show you how to do this. Super easy! And if it can curl my straight Asian hair, it can work on anyone!}
See you in San Fran!
xoxo

ouh i love that curling trick - it makes very pretty curls!
ReplyDeletei totally know what you mean about saying goodbye. leaving canada for california was scary and sad - i have such a good support/friend/family system there.. i miss it! but where there is no risk there is no reward. you will love your life abroad.
your niece is precious but you dont need to hear that from me to know!
aww your baby niece is so cute.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what was going on with your hair, lol...it turned out really pretty and curly. I'm sure that curling your hair without heat is way healthier any way.
I know that it's super sad saying goodbye but thankfully we have things like FaceTime and Skype. I can relate, my baby bro lives in Switzerland.
Goodluck with everything...I can't wait to follow along :)
