You know, that weekend where you have such high hopes for productivity?
That weekend you so look forward to all week because it holds so many possibilities?
Well, that was the hope I had for my weekend.
We had every intention of waking up early Sunday morning to go on a hike.
A long, intense, this-will-take-several-hours kind of hike.
It was going to be challenging and it was going to feel great.
I.Was.Pumped.
But then bowling happened.
Which then lead to several alcoholic beverages, which then lead to watching people ride a mechanical bull, which then lead to making egg and cheese bagels at one am in my kitchen.
So you can see the predicament we encountered when Sunday morning rolled around and we were faced with the decision of either getting much needed grub or going on a 6 hour hike.
We chose the former.
Am I disappointed that 95% of our Sunday was spent in bed alternating between napping and watching episodes of The Office?
Nah.
There's always next weekend, right?

ReplyDeleteI guess I'm just not a hiking kinda gal (despite my father's best efforts), but bowling should win out. every. time.

ReplyDeleteI love your "I hit pins" dance. I have a gutterball dance. Because that's where all of my balls end up when I bowl.
ReplyDeleteGimme that bacon.
ReplyDeleteHike shmike... I'll take eggs and bacon over that anyday.
