Is this normal?

Please tell me this is what your shower wall looks like after
every.single.shower?

And please tell me that I'm not quickly turning into one of those balding Asian ladies.

{via}
Okay, this is clearly a man.
But I couldn't find a picture of an old Asian lady balding.
You get the point.

This is normal, right?
All you ladies with hair past your shoulders,
is this a common daily occurrence?
Or am I the only one who loses this much hair,
to which I then plaster it on the shower wall.
{Don't want to clog the drain, people!}

The End.
I shall now await your reply.

xoxo

  1. This is what my shower looked like too. I have really long and thick hair (really really thick)so that picture could have been taken from my bathroom. Recently though, I've switched to just washing my hair every other day and I don't always use conditioner. It's helped a lot, and I've noticed a difference. :)

No worries though. I doubt you're going bald. I think it's pretty standard for people with long hair.

  2. Absolutely (at least, it better be). I used to plaster the hair on my shower wall, because I HATE the feel of hair on my fingers. Now I let it rinse onto the drain-catcher-thingy (technical name). I let my boyfriend pick it up. There is a pile of hair accumulating on the corner of the shower ledge. We are both intrigued to see how big it can get. Gross? Too much info? Sorry ;)

  3. i don't put my hair on the shower wall, but yeah, it happens. i'm afraid i'm balding. apparently it's natural....?

  4. I can't speak for myself but I use to yell at my sister who has very long hair. She always left her hair everywhere after each shower! So I would say it's prob a common occurrence.

  5. bahaha. i used to put my hair on the shower wall and write messages to my sister.. or whoever would hop in after me. i used to have a lot of time on my hands... clearly. my hair still falls out but usually all over the house. vacuuming is a pain!

  6. Absolutely! I'm actually really glad you posted this, because I always thought my hairy shower wall was not normal.

  7. I just posted about my hair today too. I am dying. My shower does not look like that right now... but sometimes it does.

  8. I don't wash my hair every day because I'm lazy as SHIT, but when I do it does indeed look like that only like three times worse. Craig is so grossed out at my hairballs in the shower drain. Whoops.

  11. Bahaha! Actually, the shower wall is kind of brilliant. I've had to draino my drain way too many times now. Yes, it's completely normal! And I'm really glad you posted this because I was starting to think I was balding too. How does that much hair fall out every time? How are we not bald? I really do want to know. But you're not alone.

  12. Hahahaha this made me laugh. I lose SO MUCH HAIR every shower. We have an opaque window in our shower and I usually put it on the ledge. I am CONSTANTLY pulling it off the back of my legs as I shower. Ugh, so annoying!!

  13. Actually that is what my bathroom wall , floor and sink look like. I have very thick hair .. I always tell the hubby that I’m like a snake a that’s how my hair renews itself! I have actually asked my hair stylist before and she just recommended that I only use conditioner once a week and only apply it to my ends.

  14. I have long hair so that's what my shower wall looks like too! Btw, I've seen these things called Hair Stoppers that you put in where the drain is, and it collects hair for you. Just take it out everyday and clean off the hair from it.

Try using a very wide tooth comb before and after showering (if you don't already). Also, I find that conditioner weighs my hair down when I shower, because most of the hair comes out during/after using it. So put the conditioner on your ends only.

  15. nope you're not alone I have long hair to and it does that all the time {cuz I don't want to clog the drain either lol} and it happens more if I don't brush it well the day before

  18. MY shower looks like this every morning and I do the same thing plastering it on the wall lol

  19. Hahaha I thought I was the only one who did that with my hair and the shower wall. My husband hates it, but he also hates a clogged drain, so... but yeah I was losing a ton of hair when I used pantene shampoo so I switched but I'm losing a lot again.

  20. My hair used to fall out A TON when I was engaged, because I was so stressed out. I hear that has a lot to do with it!

  21. Legit normal. I brush my hair now before the shower and it cuts back on the amount but it still happens. There is nothing more disgusting than cleaning a clogged drain. I just threw up thinking about it.....

  24. My boyfriend's sister used to leave the shower like this after every shower. I definitely shed a lot but I make sure it all goes down the drain!

  25. OH, you're too funny! I'm just shaking my head and wondering who taught you housecleaning skills?

  26. i don't actually paste the hair on my wall but i do get a lot of falling hair. i think it should be not more than 100 strands a day but i freak out every time i shower because they look like more than a hundred minus the fact that they also fall when i combed them. :(

  27. Firstly: ha ha ha ha! Secondly: ummm, gross. Thirdly: yea my hair falls out in clumps every time I take a shower - i'm waiting for the day that i have none left but it's yet to happen (thank goodness). But every so often when i put my hair in a ponytail i start to freak out because I swear its getting thinner - who knows...

  28. Maybe it is a Korean thing? I'm not Korean but I live in Korea and I have never lost so much hair in my life!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I totally do this. You're fine. I even lose more than that because of my masses of hair. It got so bad that at one stage I thought I was dying.

Mum just pointed out that in summer you lose more than in winter.

Point is, you are not alone.

P.S - I like that you are gutsy enough to post about this! X

  30. GIRL From looking at all your comments you def have the same issue as every girl out there! my shower wall looks like this its totally normal! ha! :) thanks for sharing I feel better after knowing that we all do that! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. TOTALLY NORMAL. I try to contain my fallen-out hairz but it's impossible. It drives my husband crazy. But what can you do if you don't ever brush your hair and have long locks?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have short hair, but my hair falls out too. It's normally. Just the body rebuilding itself!

  33. sometimes after i shower, i contemplate if the hair on the wall could actually be turned into a wig.

  34. When I saw this I immediately thought maybe a thyroid problem. When I was not diagnosed with Hypothyroidism yet, I used to loose a TON of hair in the shower. If you are really concerned about it the doctor can do a blood test. Or maybe it is normal for you. My hair is really thick so it seemed like I was going bald even though my hair appeared normal looking. Just a thought. BTW I love your blog. :)

  35. My shower wall ALWAYS looks like that! And admittedly, I'm a bit of a snob about the fact that I don't put my hair down the drain like a stupid girl who wants to plug up the drain. :-)

Despite feeling like a lose a lot of hair in the shower, I still have really thick healthy hair. Cheers to that, I guess!
