Fasha Time

Here he is in all his glory.
Don't ask why he was dressed like this.
I honestly don't know, I just thought it was hilarious and had to share.
There's nothin' like a Korean man dressed in Hawaiian gear, eh?

The other night at dinner,
Fasha looked at me and in his most serious tone asked,
"What do you know about the Panda Bear business?"
I stared at him blankly as I racked my brain for what I could only imagine he meant by
a Panda Bear Business.
Was this some secret Asian society that I never knew of before?
I came to the conclusion that maybe I heard him wrong, so I asked,
"The what business?"
He replied confidently,
"The Panda Bear. I want to get Sophia {a.k.a. Princess Sophia a.k.a. his wife} into business management."

It took me a few moments, then it dawned on me.
"Dad, do you mean Panda Express?"
{As in the fast food Chinese restaurant.}
He quickly replied with, "Yeah, that."

Oh my special Fasha.
How there is never a dull moment with that one.
He never ceases to keep me entertained with his silly Asian antics.

I told him that I was going to be running 20 miles this past Sunday
and he insisted that I text him every 5 miles to keep him updated.
So, I did.

It was nice having him root me on every so often.
Though, we never did get to that "celebration" he spoke of.
Maybe because I was glued to my bed the rest of the day with Pizza Hut.
Rain check, Fasha. Raincheck.

  1. Oh man. Your dad is too much. Cannot wait for all the stories from your Korean vacay!!

  2. Hahahahahaha - I'm dying. Thank you for making this rainy Tuesday, better. This is hilarious!

  3. that's so awesome! the pictures, the story, and the texts... amazing! :]

  4. this is TOO funny. so cute that you text him during your runs. love it!

  5. I love Fasha time!!! That is so sweet he was rooting you on! Congrats on the run too! :)

  6. I AM DYINGGGGG! I really am giggling at my desk, and my coworkers are glancing over at me like I'm a freak. "What do you know about the Panda Bear Business?" OMG! I love him :-)

  7. So sweet of your dad!! Dads rule.

  8. This is pure gold!

I officially wish I were Asian.

  9. Asian parents can be the worst sometimes, but when they're proud of you, there's nothing like it. Sandy stood in the rain waiting for me to finish my first half marathon and didn't even bat an eyelash when I told her I didn't want to hang out when it was over and that I just wanted to go home (it took me 2.5 hours and it poured the whole time...I was over it). But she was so proud of me she kept hugging my sopping wet self and then she told EVERYONE that I ran a half. Ruv those crazy Asians :)

  10. Your dad is great. And love the panda bear business :) what a riot!

  11. I've concluded that your father is precious!

  12. I'm going to need a Fasha in my life. Hawaiian garb or not, I will accept him.

  13. hahahaha your dad is so funny :))))

  14. Oh, the stories I could tell about your father....
But, seriously, what was that Hawaiian thing in MY BATHROOM?
