Yep, it's strep...BUT.

All of your well wishes (and possibly the drugs) seem to have helped!
I woke up this morning and didn't feel like I was swallowing glass
{which is an amazing feeling if you've ever had strep}.
It's now more like swallowing...a handful of marbles?

So, I shall do you a favor,
since you're probably sick and tired of hearing about this {I know I am},
I shall never speak of this stupid illness again.
I'm getting out of my sick funk and getting back to my normal routine.

I'm back at work,
and tonight I will attempt my first run since Friday.
And if I pass out, I'll have The Dizz there to carry me home.
{right, Boo? ;)}

So again, thank you all for your positive and uplifting comments.
I do really believe they helped big time.

So in celebration on this lovely Wednesday Hump Day,
go forth, rejoice, and do some humpin'!

  1. glad you're feeling better! Best of luck with your run. you're a trooper!

  2. So glad to hear you won't be dying.

After reading your post yesterday, I noticed I had a horrendously sore throat. And white spots on my tonsils as well. I think you gave me strep via blogland. I don't know how, but I think it happened.

  3. 1) YAY FOR FEELING BETTER! 2) YAY FOR RUNNING! 3) Yay for humping?

  4. I've had strep an inordinate amount of times. Hurray to feeling better!

  5. Kudos for trying to run! I'm still milking the "I'm so sick" thing and therefore, should give myself another day or 2 :)

    Hope you feel better!

  6. Glad you're feeling slightly better Mish. Although swallowing marbles and running doesn't sound like a good combo. Just sayin.

  7. Strep is the devil, good luck on your run and glad you are feeling better, we always take being not-sick for granted, but it really throws you for a loop eh

  8. Oh hell, growing up I had strep throat more times that I can keep track of (speaks wonders for my immune system, eh?) I FEEL YOUR PAIN! My god, keep getting better girl! Happy, healthy wishes coming your way!
