Happy New Year - Wknd Recap

Happy New Year, friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and New Year's.
I don't know about you, but this 3 day weekend felt like more of a vacation
than Christmas did. And it was much needed.
If I could have every Monday off for the rest of my life,
I would be one happy camper.

New Year's Eve was spent at none other than J-Bar, Downtown.
Shocker, I know.
Why I decided to dress up like a biker lesbian is beyond me.
But it was fun, nonetheless.

The next morning was not as fun.
Especially when 6 miles was to be run.
I made sure to document this lovely face for you all.
You're welcome.

V-Dizz and I went to Mission Bay and ran our 6 miles.
I couldn't complain too much when the view consisted of this.
I mean look at that tall drink of water.
I mean, bay.

We went to Balboa Park as well and went to The Museum of Man.
I made sure to bring along my Diana Mini
(even though I'm not quite sure if I'm taking the pictures correctly,
but I guess we'll find out soon enough).
It was a pretty interesting little museum.
Lots of neat things I learned about.
Like this creepy little mummy.

I then attempted to make my very first homemade lasagna.
I'm talking, from scratch.
This is for you MOTHER,
who doubted my cooking skills.
Look at this!
Okay, don't look too hard, because it looks kind of disgusting.
But it was edible, and Roomie and V-Dizz really liked it,
I promise.

Yesterday, V-Dizzle and I went to World Famous in Pacific Beach.
We got a great spot on their patio and was able to watch the sunset over dinner.
Sometimes (okay, most of the time), I take San Diego for granted.
This is where I live.
I get to see these kinds of things on the daily.
People come from all over the world to see this place,
and here I am waking up to it every day.
I'd like to try my best to appreciate the big and small things in my day-to-day.
Small things like this amazing guacamole.
Yum x 2.

Happy New Year!
Here's to the big and small things in life.
Let's make 2012 a great one, shall we?

xoxo
